  • IF

    If
    I
    had
    time

    I would gather-up all my thoughts and think at will,
    until,
    the sun set.

    I’d look and listen to
    the cosmos, and do.

    I’d dream all night and think,
    when,
    the sun rises again.

    I would think all my thoughts until there were few;
    when I knew
    :
    which ones should live
    and let-live;
    which ones should die
    and,
    which ones are just a lie.

    I’d look myself right in the eye,
    and find the answers to all questions why.

    I would think some thoughts over and over again,
    and when,
    they are completely thought through,
    I’d keep becoming new.

    If I knew how much time I had,
    I wouldn’t have to be iron-clad.

    I would build a better today.

    That way,
    I wouldn’t have to borrow
    from you or tomorrow.

    I’d cherish yesterday,
    and everything it has to say.

    If I knew how much time I had,
    I wouldn’t be mad or sad.

    I would know how much better I could make it all be.

    Imagine me,
    without finders fee.

    A skeleton key for a better way to see.

    The rest…let to be.

    If I had time,

    I would know how to begin.
    I would know how to finish.

    I would know when to rest. And, how to be my best.

    I would manifest the rest.

    I’d build a nest where everyone could be my guest.

    It would be our together quest, not a test.

    Forever rising and setting from East to West.

    While we’re mating and waiting
    for a sign,
    a sign of just how much time;
    we’ll walk the line and dine.

    We’ll rhyme, drink wine, pine, and pick infinite ideas off the vine.

    Tightly furled in this world.

    Time moving fast

    How much longer can this last

    ?

    Cannot ignore the past,

    if gravity and change, are this vast.

  • IMAGINE: 4

    Imagine dear John, that there is no hell;
    only this one, which we buy and sell.

    No heaven above us, or ground below.
    It’s time now, dear John. Please, let go.

    We’ve suffered so much, John. And we’ve only just begun.
    Dying’s the same as living. And Jesus, isn’t an only son.

    Ah…

    Imagine dear John;
    tomorrows we always want to know.

    No sleeve to put our heart on. No mask to hide behind.
    No Cro-Magnon man or woman. We are all part ape and mime.

    No box to put ourselves in. No answers we can’t find.
    When seeing through the heart, there’s no mass greater than the mind.

    Ah…

    Imagine dear John,
    in-spite of all the danger; worlds without woe.

    One that’s easy when we lie, only matters when we die.
    One that preaches eye for eye, has no contact between the ones on high.

    None of us imagined; this would be the way…
    None of us imagined; this would be the day…

    Save them, and their double fantasy lie.
    They tied the knot, not you or I.

    Ah…

    Imagine dear John;
    the universe without foe.

    Better to walk on water; no such thing as thin ice.
    We are anything but phony; not everyone understands nice.

    We simply think twice and thrice.
    No one is immune from desire or vice.

    Ah…

    Imagine dear John;
    raven watching over us and Poe.

    Until we’re all worthy of trust, iron will always turn to rust.
    There’s no “riddle of steel”; only the way we make other people feel.

    From ashes rise angels and phoenixes. As do vixons and dervishes.
    Beyond birth and lust, we’re all forged from elysian space dust.

    Ah…

    Imagine dear John;
    all the places we’ll go, with our virgin spirit’s arrow and bow.

    Imagine all chess peaces black or white; no reason left to fight.

    Imagine us all reading between the lines. No such thing as crime.

    Imagine all thirst is quenched, John; even yours and mine.
    We’re ALL your catcher in the rye, John. We’re no longer lost in time.

    We must catch ourselves and each other, John;
    underneath Vanilla Sky.

    Ah…

    Imagine; we’re all listening AND asking why.

    Ah…

    Say what you need to say; cups overflowing from yesterday, instead of living the wrong today.

    No…

    :

    Users…Abusers…Possessions…Obsessions…

    No longer need to be or not to be.

    No longer need to cry.

    Sigh…

    Ah…

    We’ve got you;
    it is we that stroke your back, John.

    We’ll help you as you fall.
    We’ll help you crawl through the other fourth wall.

    Imagine

    :

    finally reaping what we sow;
    a cure for what we know.

    Seeing all the signs.
    No borders or blurry lines.

    Imagine all the people, John;
    living in a whole new way.

    Ah…

    Imagine dear John,
    when heaven and earth are one.
    I’d say I’m a believer, John.
    But I’m just a smoking gun.
