IF

If
I
had
time

I would gather-up all my thoughts and think at will,
until,
the sun set.

I’d look and listen to
the cosmos, and do.

I’d dream all night and think,
when,
the sun rises again.

I would think all my thoughts until there were few;
when I knew
:
which ones should live
and let-live;
which ones should die
and,
which ones are just a lie.

I’d look myself right in the eye,
and find the answers to all questions why.

I would think some thoughts over and over again,
and when,
they are completely thought through,
I’d keep becoming new.

If I knew how much time I had,
I wouldn’t have to be iron-clad.

I would build a better today.

That way,
I wouldn’t have to borrow
from you or tomorrow.

I’d cherish yesterday,
and everything it has to say.

If I knew how much time I had,
I wouldn’t be mad or sad.

I would know how much better I could make it all be.

Imagine me,
without finders fee.

A skeleton key for a better way to see.

The rest…let to be.

If I had time,

I would know how to begin.
I would know how to finish.

I would know when to rest. And, how to be my best.

I would manifest the rest.

I’d build a nest where everyone could be my guest.

It would be our together quest, not a test.

Forever rising and setting from East to West.

While we’re mating and waiting
for a sign,
a sign of just how much time;
we’ll walk the line and dine.

We’ll rhyme, drink wine, pine, and pick infinite ideas off the vine.

Tightly furled in this world.

Time moving fast

How much longer can this last

?

Cannot ignore the past,

if gravity and change, are this vast.
